So who bought Michal Jackson’s Jacket?

The jacket was sold for $1.8 million in Los Angeles this past Saturday. The man who bought Michael Jackson’s Thriller jacket is named Milton Verret. From Texas, he is a gold trader who intends on using the Thriller Jacket to help raise money for Children’s hospitals around the world.

I’m sure Michael Jackson would be happy that his jacket is going toward raising money for sick kids around the world. The jacket is autographed by Michael, but it is one of only two of it’s kind. The other Thriller Jacket worn in the Thriller Music Video one is still owned by the Jackson estate.

What did Chris Brown win at the BET Awards?

Chris Brown made some huge moves by winning the Best Male R&B Artist award at the BET Awards show. The first award handed out of the night, and in our opinion, it went to an unlikely winner. Though Chris Brown is obviously an amazing singer and artist, we would have never thought he’d be praised in the public eye again – after his Rihanna incident. Not to mention Chris’ recent gay-slur fiasco.

Chris also won Best Collaboration for his song with Busta Rhymes and Lil Wayne… And he moved the crowd at the BET awards with his onstage performance of several of CB’s hits.

What now for Chris Brown?

Chris probably isn’t 100% over his shadowy past. But this is definitely a big move. If Chris can keep his act together for a few more months, he may be set to be remembered as one of the best music artists of his time.

Most people listen to whatever songs are on the radio or whatever songs show up on the first page of Youtube. Therefore, upcoming music artists are left hungry. Hungry for people to listen to their music. Hungry for feedback on their new songs.

Who makes the best music?

When you consider who makes the best music, signed musicians with an endless music production budget, or upcoming music artists who are scrapping for studio time, who do you think makes the best music?

Those without a true appreciation for music, might say that signed artists with large production budgets come out with the best songs. But those who truly appreciate music and the heart put into every song, would say otherwise. Upcoming music artists by far put more heart and soul into their songs.
